Receiving voice messages

From June 2024, this tool will no longer be available on Spotify for Podcasters mobile or web experiences. Read more here.

Give listeners the option to send you voice messages via the Message button on your podcast’s public page on Spotify for Podcasters.

Messages are private and only playable to you, but you can add messages you like to your episodes for everyone to hear.

Enabling voice messages

  1. Go to your podcast settings on web.
  2. Find Website.
  3. Toggle Voice message button on to display a Message button on your podcast’s public page, or off to remove the button.
  4. Click Save.

Listening to your voice messages

We’ll send you an email to let you know when a listener sends you a voice message.

To find your voice messages:

  1. Go to your episode builder. On web, click New Episode then Record or edit. On the mobile app, go to Tools and tap the + button.
  2. Select Messages.

For each voice message you can:

  • Listen to the message
  • Add the message to an episode
  • Delete or download the message via the 3 dots

Select Share your voice message link to get a direct link that listeners can use to send you a message.

Voice message links in episode descriptions

To add a link to all of your episode descriptions where listeners can leave you a voice message:

  1. Go to your podcast settings on web.
  2. Look for Include Voice Messages link in your episode descriptions beneath the Description field.
  3. Toggle it on to include the link in your episode descriptions.
  4. Click Save.

Note: To add the link to only a select few episodes, edit your episode description manually.
